“Illusions of Opulence” uses the natural beauty of peacock feathers to highlight how fragile and subjective our notions of value, beauty, and status are. It questions the systems that place worth on appearances and material wealth, drawing the viewer into a deeper reflection on the ethics of consumerism, the superficiality of societal standards, and the illusions that shape our understanding of reality. Through its unsettling distortions and surreal elements, the piece forces the viewer to confront what they take for granted and question what lies beneath the surface.
